Job Function

The Director of Admission, Registration and Student Services provides strategic and executive leadership for A’Sharqiyah University (ASU) Sur Campus admission, registration, and student services functions. The role is responsible for policy development, operational planning, and performance oversight of all related services.

Responsibilities

The Director of Admission, Registration and Student Services at ASU Sur Campus shall: • Provide leadership and oversight of admission, registration, and student services functions, ensuring alignment with university strategy, academic standards, and regulatory requirements. • Develop, review, and recommend policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to admission, registration, and student services for approval by the relevant campus and university authorities. • Provide strategic direction for operations and oversee the implementation of approved operational plans and performance indicators. • Supervise campus-wide admission and enrollment processes, academic registration systems, and student record management to ensure accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and security of data. • Oversee academic scheduling functions, including course offerings, examination arrangements, and campus-wide timetable management. • Coordinate academic student services, including advising frameworks, student progression monitoring, and academic support mechanisms. • Lead student development and welfare initiatives, including counseling services, career guidance programs, alumni engagement activities, and student experience enhancement strategies. • Oversee student academic standing processes, including probation, suspension, dismissal, and appeal procedures in accordance with campus and university regulations. • Coordinate scholarship administration, student service benefits, and related student support programs, while promoting ethical conduct and student well-being, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance positive campus life. • Monitor operational performance indicators related to admission, registration, scheduling, and student services, and submit periodic reports to campus leadership. • Coordinate with the Ministry of Education and relevant regulatory bodies, as well as the University’s main campus, to ensure compliance, alignment, and effective implementation of policies and procedures. • Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Sur Campus consistent with the nature and scope of the position.

Experience

• 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in admission, registration and student services activities within a university environment.

Skills

• Strategic planning and enrollment management (recruitment, retention, and student progression) • Knowledge of higher education regulations and compliance requirements • Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and academic records management • Data analysis and reporting for decision-making and performance monitoring • Leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement • Process improvement and service optimization in student services • Strong communication skills (reports, presentations) and proficiency in administrative systems • Advanced computer and technical skills

Qualification

• A Master’s degree from a recognized university.
