Job Function
Managing the University cybersecurity, network operations, physical security systems (CCTV, Access Control, PA Systems), IP Telephony, antivirus/endpoint protection systems, and IT Data Centers.
Responsibilities
Network and Cybersecurity Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, Firewalls).
- Oversee cybersecurity frameworks, including security monitoring, vulnerability management, threat response, and compliance.
- Manage the deployment and administration of antivirus and endpoint protection systems across all devices and servers.
- Perform regular security risk assessments, penetration tests, and audits.
- Planning and implements network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications.
- Ensuring timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
Physical Security Systems Management:
- Supervise installation, maintenance, and monitoring of CCTV surveillance systems.
- Manage Access Control Systems for secure facility access and monitoring.
- Administer Public Address (PA) Systems to ensure operational readiness for emergency communications.
- Implementing, Maintaining and technical support for public addressing system (PA)
- Ensure all physical security devices are maintained, updated, and integrated into central monitoring systems.
- Implementing, Maintaining and technical support for access control system.
- Maintaining, designing and technical support for ASU dormitories to provide internet, PA System and CCTV
IP Telephony and Unified Communications:
- Manage IP-based telephone systems (VoIP) ensuring system availability, security, and scalability.
- Oversee upgrades, expansions, and security hardening of telephony systems.
IT Data Center Management:
- Oversee the operations, security, and maintenance of on-premises and hybrid IT Data Centers.
- Manage power supply, cooling systems, and CCTV in Data Center.
- Conduct regular audits of data center physical access and environmental controls.
Antivirus and Endpoint Security Management:
- Deploy and maintain enterprise antivirus and endpoint protection platforms.
- Monitor virus outbreaks, malware infections, and other endpoint threats.
- Ensure regular updates, patches, and reporting for antivirus systems across all networks and all devices.
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Lead and develop a team of network and security.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and managed services.
- Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to network uptime, security incidents, and system performance.
- Prepare budgets for network, security, communication, and infrastructure projects etc..
- Prepare the Network and security operation plan.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international and local security standards.
- Maintain documentation for security policies, disaster recovery plans, Business continuity plan and system configurations.
- Preparing and updating IT Risk register, Implementing and monitoring the mitigation actions.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for employees.
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches or critical infrastructure failures.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as full time “Network and cyber security”
