Job Function

faculty member is expected to uphold the highest standards of personal character and conduct, stay current in their relevant academic field through ongoing study and research, and actively participate in university and community service.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and deliver lectures on relevant management courses to undergraduate and graduate students.

2. Utilize innovative teaching methods to ensure students reach their full potential in these subjects.

3. Supervise and counsel students on theoretical and practical activities related to their studies.

5. Evaluate and grade students' coursework, lab performance, assignments, and examinations.

6. Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.

7. Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts, aligning them with current trends.

8. Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and instructional methods.

9. Supervise undergraduate and graduate teaching, internships, and research work.

10. Stay current in the field by reading literature, discussing with colleagues, and attending professional conferences.

11. Facilitate and moderate classroom discussions on relevant topics.

12. Select and obtain textbooks and laboratory equipment.

13. Assist the department chair and colleagues in executing departmental programs.

14. Conduct and publish research in the field and write grant proposals to secure external funding.

15. Advise student organizations, serve on academic committees, compile specialized bibliographies, provide consulting services, and perform any other duties the Dean assigns.

16. Engagement in community service activities, demonstrating a commitment to applying expertise to benefit the local and broader community.

17. Leadership in organizing and participating in community-focused events and initiatives, enhancing the institution’s impact on societal development.

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience in teaching and research as an Assistant Professor at a recognized higher education institution. 

Must have a Scopus h-index of 6 or higher

Skills

1. Proficiency in teaching, managing, and evaluating undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the relevant field.

2. Expertise in creating and developing course and program materials.

3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

4. Skilled in providing academic guidance and support to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

5. Capable of establishing and maintaining a research program with a strong track record of publishing in international journals.

6. Ability to exhibit leadership in outreach activities.

7. Strong commitment to teaching excellence and dedicated student advising.

8. Proven research capabilities supported by an extensive record of publications 

9. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

10. Experience in operational planning and the development of academic programs.

Qualification

 PhD degree holder in a relevant or related field from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, or Marketing.
