Job Function
The successful candidate is expected to uphold the highest personal and professional standards while contributing to teaching, research, and service in Veterinary Medicine. The primary focus will be on internal medicine, including gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, infectious diseases, and respiratory medicine. Special preference will be given to candidates with expertise in reproductive medicine, particularly in breeding and embryo transfer.

- Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical training in internal medicine, breeding, and embryo transfer to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Develop and update course materials and syllabi in line with the latest advancements in the field.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to ensure students achieve their full potential.
- Supervise students' theoretical and practical activities, including laboratory work and clinical rotations.
- Research and Scholarly Activities
- Conduct original research in internal medicine, breeding technologies, and embryo transfer.
- Publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Write and secure research grants to fund departmental and personal research projects.
- Student Support and Mentorship
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects and theses related to internal medicine and reproductive technologies.
- Service and Professional Contributions
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
- Engage in community outreach and provide professional consulting services to government or industry in breeding and embryo transfer practices.
- Contribute to curriculum evaluation and strategic planning within the department.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and coursework.
- Prepare required reports related to teaching, research, and administrative tasks. Actively contribute to departmental and institutional development initiatives.
Qualification
A holder of a PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine or an equivalent degree in the relevant or related field from a recognized University.
